Benji Pays gives you the option to display the invoice PDF from HaloPSA or from your accounting system. To configure the HaloPSA Invoice PDF Integration, follow these steps:
Important- ensure your Halo invoices always have invoice numbers. This is how the integration works with Benji Pays. Benji Pays looks up the invoice in Halo PSA using the invoice number.
Step 1: Log in to Benji Pays.
Step 2: Navigate to "Settings > Integrations".
Step 3: Click "Configure" on the HaloPSA tab and follow the instructions on the page and click "Save".
Troubleshooting - what to do if your invoice PDFs won't open after finishing the configuration.
Most issues arise from incorrect permissions in Halo. Here are a few tips:
1. If you change any settings in Halo, make sure to come into Benji Pays and edit your Halo configuration. You don't need to make any changes, but click save so that an updated security token is requested from Halo. Check if your invoices can be opened after doing this.
2. Ensure your Application Permissions are set to allow invoices: read and invoices: edit. Also, you must make sure your Agent's permissions allow Invoices Access Level: Read and Modify or higher. You may need to change the Agent's role, edit the role's permissions or use a different agent if the one you selected does not have these permissions. Remember to edit and save the configuration settings in Benji Pays so that a new security token is generated after making any changes to roles, agents or permissions.
3. If you have invoices in your accounting system that are from before you were using Halo, you must turn on the "Fallback to accounting invoice PDF" option or your customers will receive an error when trying to view their PDFs. This will ensure the PDF from your accounting system is displayed if the invoice cannot be found in Halo.
