Refund Processing within Benji Payments

Refund Limit
To help protect your merchant account from accidental or unauthorized refunds, Benji Payments applies a default refund limit of $1,000 per refund transaction. This security measure helps reduce the risk of fraudulent activity or errors while still allowing merchants to process day-to-day refunds.
If you need to issue a refund above this limit, simply reach out to our Support team at support@benjipays.com. We can temporarily increase the refund limit for a specific transaction or permanently adjust the limit for your account, depending on your business needs.
How Refunds Affect Your Benji Payments Balance
Because refunds are typically processed after the original payment has already been settled and paid out, the refund amount is deducted from your Benji Payments balance.
If there are insufficient funds available, your account will temporarily show a negative balance. Any future settlements you receive will first be applied to offset this negative balance. Once the balance returns to zero, your regular payouts will automatically resume.
If you prefer not to wait for future settlements to cover the refund, you can contact our Support team at support@benjipays.com. We can initiate an immediate withdrawal of the refund amount from your linked bank account, allowing your Benji Payments balance to remain current and ensuring your future payouts continue without interruption.
If the negative balance is not cleared within the configured recovery period, Benji Pays may automatically debit your linked bank account to recover the outstanding balance.
