Why does my payment reference in QuickBooks not match the full reference I see in Benji Pays Benji Pays?

If you use QuickBooks online you may notice that the reference on the payments on your invoices seem truncated, or seem to be missing a few characters.  


This is due to a limitation in QuickBooks online which allows only a maximum of 21 characters for the reference field on a payment.  If your card processor has longer references, they will be truncated.  This happens mostly if you are integrated with Stripe.


Unfortunately due to this limitation full reference numbers may not be available in QuickBooks for payments posted by Benji Pays.  However, we do store the full reference number / Auth Code in the memo field of the payment.
