If you're seeing a payment error, find your error code below for steps to resolve it.

You can also look up any error code in the Moneris Response Codes directory.

Error 942 – Invalid Credentials

What it means: Your Profile ID or source URL is invalid.

To fix this:

  1. Log into your Moneris Gateway
  2. Go to Admin → Hosted Tokenization
  3. Check if there is a URL next to your hosted tokenization token — there should be none
  4. If a URL exists and you can edit it, remove it
  5. If you can't edit it, generate a new token with no URL attached
  6. Copy the new token into your gateway settings in Benji Pays

Error 943 – Invalid Data

What it means: The card data entered is invalid (not numeric or fails the mod10 check). Spaces are removed automatically, so this is usually a mistyped card number.

Ask the customer to re-enter their card details carefully.

Transaction Not Allowed

What it means: Your payment gateway account doesn't have the vault feature enabled, which is required to save payment information.

To fix this:

  1. Contact your Payment Gateway provider and request that the vault feature be enabled on your account
  2. Once confirmed, enable "Save payment information" on your payment links in Benji Pays
