Stripe Payment Errors

Here are a few errors we came across, but if you encounter a different one, please report it to us at support@benjipays.com.


Error submitting card to payment processor, please check your Card Number, Expiry and CVV and try again.


Check https://status.stripe.com/ if nothing is mentioned so far, we recommend trying to use the "Send Payment Info Request" option to see if the same error occurs.



Could not process payment: You must pass in a clientSecret when calling stripe.confirmSetup().benji


This error is a known issue with Stripe, and we are currently working on a fix.

It occurs when a merchant attempts to pay an invoice by entering a credit card directly, without first saving it as a payment profile. Customers paying invoices should not be affected.


  • Save the card to the payment profile first.
  • Then process the payment using the saved card.
