Connect to Clover

Connecting to the Clover gateway is very simple.



1. In Benji Pays, navigate to "Settings > Payment Gateway Settings".



2. Click "Add new gateway".



3. Select "Clover North America" and click "Connect to Clover".



4. You will be redirected with a Clover Login prompt. Enter your Clover email and password and click "Login".



5. Once logged in, click on the Merchant you'd like to connect to Benji Pays.



6. You will be redirected to Benji Pays. Fill in the options on this page as per your own requirements and click "Save Gateway" on the bottom of the page.

Fraud Prevention Tool Setup




Step 1: Log in to Clover Dashboard.



Step 2: At the bottom of the left panel, go to "Account & Setup".







Step 3: At the bottom right panel of the Account & Setup page, click on "Fraud Tools".









Step 4: In Transaction Limits, click "SHOW RULES".







Step 5: If you are going to use the “Transaction Limits” setting, please use the guidelines below.


On the “Number of transactions per IP is greater than XX during for” line, click on the pen icon to edit the rule.


We recommend the  "Number of transactions per IP address" setting be changed to be declined if greater than 500 per 1 day. This number can be lower based on how many transactions you have on autopay.






Step 6: A dialog box will appear, complete the following fields:


  • Set a limit for the rule: Limit number.

  • Set a time period: Number of Day or Hour.

  • Choose the type of transactions this rule applies to: select “All transactions” or “Approved transactions”.







Step 7: Click the "Save" button.




If you find your customers are having issues with the Postal Code/Zip Code verification, you can turn that setting off in your Clover settings.




Follow the steps below to turn off the Postal Code/Zip Code verification in your Clover settings





Please note that while this change may reduce your fraud prevention measures, having the CVC check enabled should provide sufficient security. Ultimately, this decision is entirely up to you. For further discussion or support, you can contact Clover support at 1-866-583-0959.




Step 1: Log into Clover.



Step 2: Go to Account & Setup on the left menu at the bottom.



Step 3: Under E-commerce click "Fraud Tools".



Step 4: Click "Show Rules" under Address Verification System (AVS).



Step 5: Uncheck the first check box "Postal Code does not match (when provided)" and click "Save".
