This video will walk you through the steps of configuring okta Single Sign-On (SSO) for the Benji Pays Customer Portal.


Steps to Configure Okta SSO for Benji Pays

Step 1: Navigate to SSO Configuration in Benji Pays

  1. Log in to your Benji Pays account.
  2. Go to SettingsCustomer Portal Settings.
  3. Select SSO Single Sign-On Configuration.
  4. Click Add SSO Configuration and choose Other as the provider.
  5. In the configuration fields:
    • Description: Enter a name, e.g., "Okta SSO."
    • Issuer URL: Enter the URL for your Okta tenant.

Step 2: Set Up an Application in Okta

  1. Log in to your Okta admin console.
  2. Navigate to ApplicationsApplicationsCreate App Integration.
  3. Choose OpenID Connect and Single-Page Application, then click Next.
  4. Name the application, e.g., "Benji Pays Single Page Application."
  5. In the Advanced Settings section:
    • Enable the Implicit and Hybrid grant types.

Step 3: Configure Redirect URIs

  1. In the Sign-In Redirect URIs field, remove the default value.
  2. Go back to the Benji Pays SSO configuration and copy the Login Redirect URL.
  3. Paste this URL into the Sign-In Redirect URIs field in Okta.
  4. Remove any value in the Sign-Out URI field.

Step 4: Complete Okta App Setup

  1. Allow access for everyone in your organization.
  2. Save the application settings.
  3. Copy the Client ID from the Okta application and paste it into the corresponding field in Benji Pays.

Step 5: Customize the Login Button (Optional)

  1. In Benji Pays, you can customize the login button text for the customer portal.
    • Example: "Login with Okta."
  2. Save your changes.

Step 6: Test the Integration

  1. Go to your customer portal login page.
  2. You should see a "Login with Okta" button. Click it.
  3. Enter your Okta credentials and approve the push notification (if MFA is enabled).
  4. The system will redirect you to the portal.
